Desperation Blast is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. It is a powerful explosive spell used by Demon Lords that deals a large amount of damage to a group of enemies.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light[edit]
Desperation Blast can be learned by Dhoulmagus's second form. It costs 90 MP to cast and deals major Bang-element spell damage to all enemies that cannot be reflected.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Desperation Blast can be learned by Old King Mortamor at Level 52 and costs 108 MP to cast. It has a range of two squares in front of him and inflicts moderate Bang-type spell damage to random enemies five times in a rectangular area of effect, as well as having a chance to reduce their Spell Res. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.
