Jessica's outfit is the informal wear of Jessica Albert prior to her joining the party in Dragon Quest VIII. The clothes speak volumes of the Albert family's wealth when Jessica considered these to be layabout casual wear.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

Jessica wears this outfit in the cutscene shown at the Tower of Alexandria and later in her home when she's arguing with her mother Rosalind. She changes out of it prior to departing for Port Prospect, but after she joins the group the player can return to her bed room to retrieve the clothes. The outfit increases her defence by a scant +3 and can be sold for 60 gold, but wearing it changes her appearance.
