Molten globules are a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. They are nearly-impervious fragments acquired from metallic monsters that are used as a crafting ingredient, particularly for making metal slime-themed pieces of equipment.

Molten globules are used as a material for crafting weapons and armour. They can be dropped rarely by Metal slimes, Liquid metal slimes, Metal medleys, Metal dragon slimes, Metal Healies, Metal king slimes, and Pandora's boxes.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Molten globules can be dropped by Metal slimes, Liquid metal slimes, Hunter mechs, Hardy hands, Clangoustines, Metal dragon slimes, Metal dragons, Clockwyrms, Metal king slimes, Überkilling machines, and Knight abhorrents. They can be picked up from sparkly spots in the Dundrasil Region and the Battleground. They can also be purchased from Octagonia's Casino starting from the second act for 20,000 tokens each. Some spatters can be found in treasure chests in the Royal Library, the First Forest, Insula Algarum*, the Hotto Steppe*, and the Fortress of Fear. They can be sold for 1,250 gold each.

Molten globules can be dropped by Metal slimes, Liquid metal slimes, and Metal king slimes, or received from King Flaminio in exchange for 8 Mini medals each on the Stonecloud. They can also be received as a reward for completing Grudge Match: Unholy Horde with gold clear time from the second time onward. The globules can be used in the classic recipes for the Meteorite bracer and the Sorcerer's ring in the Alchemy Pot or sold for 1,750 gold each.
Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]
Molten globules are used as a material for improving various accessories or sold for 1,750 gold each. They can be dropped by Metal slimes, Liquid metal slimes, Metal king slimes, and Pandora's boxes, or received in exchange for 15 Mini medals each.
