Night light
The night light is an item in the Dragon Quest series. It shifts day to night upon use out on the world map and doesn't work in towns or dungeons.

The lamp is found in the shop in Theddon and can be obtained during the day. In the NES version it can't be sold, while in the GBC Version, it will sell for 225 gold coins.

Found in Chapter 4 by Meena and Maya in the depths of Gupta Gupha, where it was created by their father Mahabala. It remains in their possession when they join up with the hero at the start of Chapter 5.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit
Won from first completion of the DLC Tablet "Den of the Wintry Wyrm" after defeating the Blue dragon in the Nintendo 3DS version only. As the game lacks the day/night cycle, the function of the night light is to replicate the rarely-seen Snub spell to nullify all magic for the rest of the battle for both the party and enemies.
