I'm certainly not going to say that's 100% not the chance, since they might've been going for that effect, but I was under the impression that the names of Abbot Jack and his monstrous form came from this phrase...
"Jack of all trades, master of none."
... meaning a person that is competent with all tasks, but incapable of impressively performing in any of them. The localization team has puns and references like that fed into their veins, so this seems like the more likely origin of both names, if ya ask me (which ya didn't). --PantheonSasuke 03:00, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
