Appearances

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation

It is located in the starting town of Aliahan, in the northwestern most corner of the city. It consists of 2 separate NPCs behind counters who control party member creation and addition/dismissal from the player's party. It is the basis for the party system in Dragon Quest III.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Patty has settled in Gotha, managing the bar on the second floor of the castle. Her services can be utilized in the Third generation when the player has control over the human side of the party line up. Monty the monster monitor is found in the bar as well, allowing for total party control in one convenient location.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation

Patty has expanded her business considerably, being available in both the Upper and Lower Worlds, and even the realm of the dreadfiend himself: the bar is located in Port Haven, Alltrades Abbey, Felonia, Slimopolis, Greedmore Valley, and Gallows Moor.

As Monty does not appear in any version of VI, monster recruits can be dropped off at Patty's.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies

Patty plays more prominently in the plot of IX than in previous games, and her bar is found at the Quester's Rest inn in Stornway.

The planning place appears in both games to let you rearrange your party.
