As it is the only town with a port in the game, it can be inferred that Rippleport is the center of commerce in Torland.
Rippleport is where the heroes are given a ship to use in traveling the world. To receive the ship, the heroes must first rescue a girl from 2 [[Gremlin]]s in the northwestern portion of the village. Afterwards, she takes them to her grandfather who rewards the heroes with a ship.

The town also marks a turning point in ''Dragon Quest II''. After receiving the ship, the game becomes much more non-linear as the heroes can travel to a variety of locations. As long as the player is prepared for fierce opponents, he or she can now travel anywhere they please.

Rippleport is a port village in northwestern Torland. It is the location where a ship can be obtained in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line.

As it is the only town with a port in the game, it can be inferred that Rippleport is the center of commerce in Torland.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line[edit]

The party fighting gremlins in town.

Rippleport is where the Luminaries are given a ship to use in traveling the world. To receive the ship, they must first rescue a girl from 2 Gremlins in the northwestern portion of the village. Afterwards, she takes them to her grandfather who rewards the party with a ship.

The town also marks a turning point in Dragon Quest II. After receiving the ship, the game becomes much more non-linear as the Luminaries can travel to a variety of locations. As long as the player is prepared for fierce opponents, he or she can now travel anywhere they please.

Like any port town, gambling is available via the Tombola house and a Bank is present as well. A bunny girl in the southwestern side of the town offers to give the princes a Puff-Puff, and will be annoyed at having to deal with homosexuals if the player declines.

Echo Flute[edit]

The Echo Flute is also located in Rippleport. It is given by a man reachable only by ship within the village. By giving the man the Sunken Treasure he will exchange it for the flute.
