Specifically, the event involves the Octopath characters Cyrus Albright, Molrusso, and Viola entering a [[Monster Arena]] to face off against classic ''Dragon Quest'' foes to obtain immense wealth and lustrous prizes. The trio have taken up the roles of the [[Hero (Vocation)|Hero]], [[Gadabout]], and [[Sage]] vocations to aid them on their quest, granting themselves access to spells and skills exclusive to these iterations of the characters. The collaboration also adds new Keepers, the in-game term for pets, based on the humble [[slime]] and coveted [[metal slime]].
