The '''Troubadour''' (formerly bard) is one of the vocations exclusive to [[Dragon Quest VII]].

==Description==
The troubadour is a helpful class that makes use of support skills in battle. Outside of battle, they know the spell [[Holy Protection]], able to keep weaker monsters at bay. After mastering this class, the troubadour can become a [[Luminary]] provided they have also mastered the [[Dancer]] and [[Gadabout]] classes.

==Usefulness==
The Bard is quite frail and should be put in the back rows. Its only use is to make the [[Luminary]] and then a [[Summoner]]. It takes some time to make a summoner and so has to be started as soon the player clears [[Alltrades Abbey (Dragon Quest VII)|Alltrades Abbey]]. However, the rewards are great.

The hybrid skills aren't particularly worth getting as there are similar skills that do the same thing.
