Special medicine is an exceptional healing item in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VIII
The special medicine usually restores 90~120 HP to a single party member. It is created by mixing two strong medicines in an alchemy pot and sold for 170 Gold Coins.
Dragon Quest IX
The special medicine has the same properties as before, and is again made by mixing two strong medicines in the alchemy pot. Oddly, its sell price has dropped considerably down to a mere 35G.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below
Special medicine will restore around 100~120 HP to whichever character the player is controlling. They can be dropped by some monsters and found in smashed pots and barrels in higher levels of the game. Like other healing items, they do not carry over between stages and should be used as needed.
