Gust Slash is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VI. It imbues a melee strike with the power of wind.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Gust Slash deals 130% melee damage with the Woosh element. It is granted at the first rank of the Gladiator vocation.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Gust Slash is learned at rank 1 of the Gladiator vocation in both versions of the game, as well as rank 2 of the Champion occupation in the 3DS remake. It can also be learned at rank 2 as a Notso macho and rank 8 as a Berserker in the 3DS version.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Vacuum Slash is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Gargoyles and Zombie gladiators.
Dragon Quest Monsters
Called VacuSlash in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 11 with 77 HP, 34 MP, 66 Attack and 42 Intelligence. It is naturally learned by the BigRoost, ChopClown, Lionex, MadCat, MadPecker, Rayburn and WindBeast. It can also be learned by monsters with ChargeUp and WindBeast.

Gust Slash is known naturally by Drooling ghoul, Handsome crab, and Scarewolf at level 1, and can be learned by Mandrake major at level 16. It costs 3 MP to use and inflicts 120% potency Woosh-type physical damage to one enemy. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
