Egg On is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest IX.

When used, it cheers on a fellow party member and gives them a boost to their Tension or supports them in some other way.

Localization history[edit]

The Japanese skill Ōen has been translated twice into English, with the first being Egg On for mainline titles and Rabble Rouser for spin-offs. This article will cover the instances in which the former localization is used and the games featuring the Ōen skill that remain untranslated.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[edit]

Egg On is learned by the Prince of Midenhall at Level 31 and by the Princess of Cannock when she reads a scroll found in Slewse. It costs 3 MP and doubles and ally's attack for one turn, but does not stack with Muster Strength.
