The Heavy armour is a recurring armour in the Dragon Quest franchise. It protects against fire and ice damage.

Dragon Quest VI
The heavy armour provides +50 points to a character's defense at the cost of -30 points to their style. It negates 10 points of non-magical fire and ice damage, and may be worn by the Hero, Carver, Terry, Amos, Lizzie, and Goowain.

The heavy armour has a defence bonus of +52, and negates 15 points of fire and ice damage. Only Yangus can wear it.
