The hargonaut is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest II. It is an elite skeletal knight that serves the High Priest Hargon.
Characteristics[edit]
Hargonauts are skeletal warriors with light blue bones that are clad in purple and pink armour, wielding a longsword in one hand and a shield in the other. The shield bears the bat symbol of the Children of Hargon on it. They are powerful and agile swordsmen, able to slash twice in quick succession and land grievous blows. The knights are very nimble, having a high chance of evading attacks from adventurers. Hargonauts have some skill in magic as well, being able to heal damage to their bones and make their foes more vulnerable with Kasap. The knights have yet to make a reappearance in the main series, likely due to their strong association with Hargon himself.
