Atsuko Satō (佐藤 敦子, Satō Atsuko, born November 14, 1962, died August 20th, 2024), known professionally as Atsuko Tanaka (田中 敦子, Tanaka Atsuko) was a Japanese voice actress. Her first role in the Dragon Quest series was voicing Queen Apnea in the Dragon Quest VI CD Theater in 1996. She eventually returned to voice Queen Marina in the Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest XI.
Tanaka was known for her strong and deep voice, often providing the voice of older, professional women and occasionally villainesses. Her son Hikaru is a voice actor, as well. She was best friends with fellow voice actress Kikuko Inoue.
