Cop Out is an ability in the Dragon Quest series that allows the user to pass damage on to someone or something else.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake[edit]
Cop Out is already learned by the Hero once the adventure begins. It activates faster than other abilities and has a 75% chance to deflect an attack to an enemy, dealing 112.5% of what the original damage to the Hero would have been.
Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[edit]
Cop Out is already learned by the Prince of Cannock when he joins the party. It costs 2 MP and has a 5/8ths chance to pass the damage to an enemy, a 1/4th chance to direct the blow to a fellow Scion of Erdrick, and a 1/8th chance to fail outright with the user taking damage.
