Knight Watch is the Coup de Grâce ability for the Paladin vocation. When performed, the Paladain becomes invincible for a limited time.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit]

Knight Watch lasts for 4 turns, including the turn it is activated, and enrages all enemies towards the character. The best use of the ability is to have the Paladin guard the whole party with Forbearance for its duration, creating a grace period that can turn the tide even in the most dire battle with a legacy boss.

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Knight Watch is fundamentally the same in the tenth game, only the effect duration now lasts for 30 seconds.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]

Knight Watch appears as a Pep power under the name of Knight's Mandate, which makes Hendrik invincible for two turns and autoguard the party. This pep power requires the Hero, Hendrik, & Serena to be in the party.
