The Gold-plated puppet is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest X. Despite their similarities, it's a distinct monster from the Gold mannequin introduced in the Nintendo 3DS version of DQVII.
Characteristics
Gold-plated puppets are practically identical to the original earthy puppets they are based on, with both being man-sized dolls with detachable joints held together with magic. Like the other puppet variants, they can drain the magic of adventurers with their Weird Dance and are capable of splitting themselves into smaller pieces and raining down on enemies from midair.
