Khalamari is a large squid monster with a red body and a blue-purple top, first seen in Dragon Quest VIII.
It normally uses its tentacles, or Tentickles as it calls them, as puppets in front of ships. It has a younger version called Khalamari kid. Its name is a reference to the seafood dish, calamari (squid).
