The Rain Shrine is a shrine located to the west of the village of Kol in Alefgard during the time of the original Dragon Quest. It is preceded by the Tower West of Kol in Dragon Quest III.
Synopsis
At some time between the events of Dragon Quest III (which chronologically came first) and Dragon Quest, the tower west of Kol was converted into the shrine. No details are ever provided regarding this conversion.
Dragon Quest
The shrine is home to a man guarding the Staff of Rain. By bringing the Lyre of Ire to the man, the hero may exchange it for the staff.
Dragon Quest II
As is the case of many Alefgard locations, the shrine does not appear on the world map in Dragon Quest II.
