The Frightcrawler (formerly VenomWorm) is a monster introduced in Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in Grotta del Sigillo in the past and present and in the Greenthumb Gardens region in the past.
Characteristics
Frightcrawlers are palette swaps of nightcrawlers, having green bodies, pink mandibles, and a purple head with purple spikes on it. They attack in the same way, by rolling up their body and leaping at enemies. The main difference is that frightcrawlers are capable of poisoning their enemies, either with the spikes on their body or by exhaling poisonous breath. This makes them a nuisance to adventurers, even if they aren't particularly powerful.
