Smart suit
The smart suit, also known as the dandy suit or trendy suit, is a recurring set of clothing in the Dragon Quest series. It is a stylish set of formal clothing reserved exclusively for male characters and provides a surprising amount of protection.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III
The smart suit has a defence bonus of +42. It can only be equipped by male Thieves and Gadabouts, making it a male counterpart to the party dress. It can be found in Edina. The smart suit can be sold for 9,900 gold, but it is not recommended to do so since only one exists in the game. It only appears in remake versions of the game.
Dragon Quest VII
The smart suit has a defence bonus of +40 and a style bonus of +47. It can only be equipped by the Hero and Sir Mervyn. It can be purchased for 13,200 gold at the Premium Bazaar version of the Immigrant Town and sold for 6,600 gold. Smart suits can also be purchased as prizes at the Grand Slum casino for 2,000 tokens. One can be found in Dwarves' Den in the present.
