Pilgrim's Perdition (formerly Penal) is a village to the south of Alltrades Abbey in Dragon Quest VII. It is a place where those who have had their spells and abilities stolen by Cardinal Sin live.

Story

Present

Only the ruins of Pilgrim's Perdition exist in the present.

Gold Bank

There is a woman running a gold bank in town, but her services are only available until Cardinal Sin has been defeated. If the player stored any gold with her, it will still be available by visiting any other gold banks in the world.

Treasures

There are two treasures available at the Gold Bank that can only be acquired after the events at Alltrades Abbey.

Notable Residents

  • Strom - The self-appointed boss of the town. A powerful man who insists on beating down any newcomers as a way of welcoming them.
  • Eustace - A former bodyguard of the High Priestess from Alltrades Abbey. He was exiled to Pilgrim's Perdition after monsters took over.
  • Fingers - A master thief with no moral scruples.
