Ray Churls is an infamous monster that appears exclusively in the 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.

Etymology
Lucky Old Sun and Ray Churls are a reference to famous American musician Ray Charles, who pioneered the soul genre of music. He was known for his trademark sunglasses he wore due to his blindness and his beaming smile.
