The guide for sewing the scarf is the [[List of fun-size forge recipe book locations in Dragon Quest XI|Sweet Stuff for Swindlers manual, which is the reward for completing quest #15 that is given to the player by a man in the Puerto Valor hotel kitchen. Wearing this turban along with the swindler's stole will change Erik's appearance and grant him the title of The Swindler.
