Ray Churls (シャイン, Shain) is an infamous monster that appears exclusively in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII.
He is able to form the team Heavens Above along with Ziggy and Starsky.

EtymologyEdit
Lucky Old Sun and Ray Churls are a reference to famous American musician Ray Charles, who pioneered the soul genre of music. He was known for his trademark sunglasses he wore due to his blindness and his beaming smile.
