- With visible encounters being added to the the 3DS port, Whistle now draws monsters to the party from a visible distance. This unfortunately does not work on metal slimes.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry SkiesEdit
This ability is learned with 28 skill points invested into Courage skill. In IX, Whistle now has an additional function in battle: it may enrage an enemy group.
Dragon Quest MonstersEdit
This ability requires the monster to be at least level 4, with at least 28 MP, and 24 Intelligence. It is naturally learned by the GiantSlug, MadCandle, Slabbit and Watabou.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2Edit
Whistle now requires 44 Intelligence to learn.
