The frightcrawler is a monster introduced in Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. It can be found in Grotta del Sigillo in the past and present and in the Greenthumb Gardens region in the past.
Characteristics[edit]
Frightcrawlers are the poisonous relatives of nightcrawlers, having gruesome green bodies, poking pink mandibles, and a purple poison spewing head, covered in pointed purple spikes designed to scare away any potential attackers. They attack in a similar way to their brethren, by rolling up their bold bodies and leaping at enemies. Frightcrawlers poison their enemies, both with the toxic spikes on their body or by exhaling a putrid poisonous breath. This makes them a well known nuisance to adventurers, even if they aren't otherwise particularly powerful.
