The raving mad cap is the upgrade of the more common mad cap, and as such cuts MP costs by an even steeper discount.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
The raving mad cap reduces MP costs by 75% (rounded up), and also increases defence by +13 along with +8 style. It can be equipped by the whole party and is available upon the first completion of the DLC Tablet True Steel by defeating the Überkilling machine.
