Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest Monsters[edit]
DeadTree is one of the kingdoms participating against GreatTree in the Starry Night Tournament. The elderly King of DeadTree visits GreatTree's throne room partway through the game to taunt his counterpart, and in the tournament's penultimate battle, Terry faces a competitor from DeadTree who uses a Rashaverak, Ewwnicorn and Drag-goof. Like the other rival kingdoms BigTrunk and GreatLog, DeadTree is never visited by the player.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World[edit]
Witherwood appears as the game's main setting, similar to Lushland in Dragon Quest Monsters and Pays de l'Oseille in Dragon Quest Monsters 2. Bianca and Nera are brought to Witherwood and given the power to tame monsters by Fluffy (and Debora by Fizzy) in their search for the leaves of life, and are tasked by King Withers with clearing out all of the meteocite crystals that are plaguing the kingdom.
The kingdom's "castle" is built into an enormous tree, much like its counterpart kingdoms in the Monsters series. Nestled in the highest branches of the withered tree is the kingdom's main settlement, Boughborough.
The explorable areas of the Witherwood region are the bone-dry Parchland (which contains The Spelunk), the grassy Witherwood Plains, and the waterlogged Sogswamp (home of The Shrine of Serenity).
