Lazarel (ラゼル, Razel), along with Teresa, is one of the two main characters in Dragon Quest Heroes II.
Description[edit]
Lazarel is a hot-blooded military cadet who loves rushing into battle. He has shaggy, light purple hair and wears a green tunic, leggings, boots, and gloves, as well as a yellow scarf around his neck.
Abilities[edit]
Lazarel starts off in the Warrior vocation with the Twin Swords equipped, but he can also wield a Sword & Shield or Axes as well. Partway through the story, he and his cousin can gain the ability to reclass into the Martial Artist, Mage, Priest, Thief, Gladiator, and Sage vocations and gain access to seven additional weapon types through those classlines. Due to their high level of customizability and weapon choices provided, Lazarel and Teresa are functionally identical in how they play: sharing the same statistics, weaponry, combo strings, and skills. As such whichever one the player chooses as the protagonist comes down to personal preference, however, whichever one is picked will not be able to be removed from the party in the main story.

There are alternate costumes that allow Lazarel to dress like the Hero from the original Dragon Quest or the Prince of Midenhall from Dragon Quest II.
