List of staff skills in Dragon Quest IX
The following are staff skills in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.
Staff skills can be learned via the Martial Artist and Priest classes.
Trip of a Deathtime[edit]
Sends a group of enemies crashing to the ground. Requires 7 skill points to learn.
Deliverance[edit]
An attack that deals 50% more damage to Undead opponents, and requires 22 skill points to learn.
Party Pooper[edit]
Damages a group of enemies and may knock them down. Damage is calculated in the same method as Whips and Boomerangs. This technique requires 42 skill points to learn.
Crushed Ice[edit]
Four Ice-element strikes that hit random targets for 30% of a normal blow's strength. Costs 5 MP to use and 76 skill points to master.
Counter Wait[edit]
Dodges and immediately counterattacks. Requires the 'Staff Studies' in a character's inventory to use.
Omnivocational Staffmaster[edit]
Enables the character to use staves with any vocation.
