Perfect panacea (also called greater panacea) is a fantastic healing item in the Dragon Quest series. It removes poison, paralysis, sleep, confusion, and restores a lot of HP.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
The Greater panacea can restore all HP to a single character in addition to undoing various status ailments and can be sold for 880 Gold Coins.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Perfect panaceas cure Poison, Paralysis, Sleep, and Confusion in addition to restoring around 90 HP. They can be sold for 245 gold coins, but can't be bought. You need 1 Panacea, 1 Angel bell, and 1 Wakerobin to make this using Alchemy. Perfect panaceas are needed in many alchemy recipes, so it's a good idea to have a lot of them.
