|Effect||Cures a single party member of poison and paralysis, and restores a large amount of HP.|
Panacea, also known as lesser panacea, is an advanced healing item in the Dragon Quest series. It removes both poison and paralysis from a single party member while restoring a large amount of their HP. In games with Alchemy, it is often created by mixing some special medicine with other healing items.
|Fully restores the HP of a single ally and cures the effects of poison and paralysis.|
Known as the lesser panacea in this game, it will completely restore a party member's HP and cure them of the effects of poison and paralysis. Some lesser panaceas can be found in the Kingdom of Trodain*, Arcadia, and the Isolated Plateau. Others can only be made in the Alchemy Pot and it can be refined even further into a Greater panacea. In the Nintendo 3DS version, lesser panaceas can be found randomly in blue treasure chests in the Baccarat Region, the Kingdom of Argonia, Northwest Isle, and the Desert.
In the original Sony PlayStation 2 version, lesser panaceas can be sold for 550 gold each for the first 5 sold, 385 gold for the 6th to 10th sold, then dropping even further to only 165 gold each from the 11th onward. Since the Alchemy Pot works instantly in the 3DS version, lesser panaceas can only be sold for 210 gold each for the first 5 sold, 147 gold each for the 6th to 10th, then only 63 gold each from the 11th onward.
|A remedy that removes poison and paralysis and restores around 90 HP.|
Panacea now only restores 90~120 HP to a single party member and cures them of the effects of poison and paralysis. They have a 15% chance of being found in Rank 5 (E) blue treasure chests and can also be found randomly in the fountain at a fully upgraded Quester's Rest in the postgame. They can also be dropped by Blastoads and Cureslimes.
