Appearances
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
The Gold ring has a defence and style bonus of +5. It can be equipped by the Hero, Milly, Ashlynn, Terry, and Lizzie, and can be found in Gardsbane Tower & The Houses North of Arkbolt. They can also be dropped by Goodybags.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
The Gold ring is an accessory that provides a Defense bonus of +10 and can be equipped by all characters. It can be purchased in Argonia for 2,000 gold once the bazaar starts. Gold rings can also be dropped by Bloody hands, Dieablos, Ghouls, Gold golems, and Night emperors. One can be found on the world map near Pickham in a treasure chest requiring the Magic key and another can be found in Baccarat. In the Nintendo 3DS version, gold rings can also be commonly dropped by Gold nugcats.
The ring can be mixed with several items through alchemy:
- With the Poison moth knife to create the Full moon ring.
- With a Seed of magic to create a Prayer ring.
- With a Dream blade to create a Ring of awakening.
- With a Fallen angel rapier to create a Ring of clarity.
- With a Poison needle to create a Ring of immunity.
- With the Sandstorm spear to create the Ring of truth.
