The Steel broadsword is a recurring sword in the Dragon Quest series. It is often the first mid-level sword the player can obtain.

Characteristics

The steel broadsword is a standard sword with a long blade forged from steel and a yellow hilt and crossguard. It often marks the turning point from early game weapons to mid-level weapons, being an effective weapon in terms of attack power and gold cost. This sword has appeared in every main entry in the series and even multiple spinoffs, as well.

Appearances

Dragon Quest

Due to text restrictions in the Game Boy Color remake of Dragon Quest, it was known as Steel with a symbol of a sword next to it in said version.
