The Chain whip is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. Likew most whips, it is designed to attack a group of enemies.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III
The chain whip has an attack bonus of +27. It can be bought in Kazave and Ashalam for 1,000 gold. It can only be equipped by thieves, dealers, jesters, and sages.
Dragon Quest V
The chain whip has an attack bonus of +23. It can be bought early on in Roundbeck, Coburg, and Fortuna for 1,200.
