Glow is a spell originally found in Dragon Quest and its remakes, as well as Dragon Quest Monsters and Dragon Quest Monsters 2.

Glow lights up dark caves by a 4 x 4 radius for 80 steps, 3 x 3 for 60 steps, and 2 x 2 for another 60 steps. Initially, the light is brighter than that provided by a torch. However, unlike the torch, its light eventually fades, leaving the dungeon dark until it is recast. MP required s 3 in the original, and 2 in all remakes.

Dragon Quest Monsters[edit]

Glow, referred to as Radiant in the Eidos localization, appears as a spell used by various monsters, notably the common slime, to lower the accuracy of other monsters in battle, and can be learned at Level 13, with an MP cost of 2, and requires stats being 42 MP, 72 AGL, and 72 INT.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2[edit]

Glow reappears in the sequel, with the minimal requirements now being Level 12, 42 MP, 72 AGL, and 130 INT, with the skill lowering the accuracy of other monsters in battle.
