DescriptionEdit
Shamans are a human mages fallen prey to the allure of evil. It wears a wicked white robe, emblazoned with the bat insignia of the Children of Hargon on the front, a purple cape, and a white mask with a purple jewel on the forehead. They wield a solid golden staff topped with a purple or red jewel when going to battle, used to help amplify their mental abilities and spell-slinging skills. Shamans can cast low level fire spells and prevent opponents from casting their own magic. The shaman reappeared in Dragon Quest VII after a 13 year absence, wearing a dark pink cape, a red jewel on its cape, scepter, and forehead, red on the bat insignia in front of its robe, and a red and pink triangular-pattern on the ends of its sleeves. Like many humanoid monsters, shamans are now depicted in modern appearances with five fingers on their hands instead of four.
