The terrorhawk (originally MadFalcon) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VII, it is a brown, typically weaker variant of the prism peacock.
Characteristics
The terrorhawk is a tremendously terrifying, brown winged, muscled bird monster with a hellish screech that sends humans fleeing in fear. Not nearly as vibrant as their close relatives, the prism peacock, their muted colours allow them to more effectively and dive bomb prey with their perfectly honed hunting senses and their sharp, slashing talons. In battle they're known for their fiendish belching of a fierce fire that fries all foes and the infuriating Fuddle spell that can confuse and entitle entourage of adventurers, turning even the most sensible and strong ally into a fearsome adversary.

Raised on molten magma, these fiery, feathered fiends ignite enemies with Flame Breath, and fox them with Fuddle.
They were once very docile birds, but went batty when bashed on the bonce by boulders when the Magmaroo erupted.
