Wyrtle (originally Tortragon) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is a cross between a dragon (also known as a wyrm) and a turtle.

Etymology
- The English name is similar to its shape, the combination of "wyrm" and "turtle".
- The Japanese name "ガメゴン Gamegon " is the combination of "かめ Kame "(turtle) and "ドラゴン Doragon "(Dragon).
