The Iron Rhino is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VIII. It is a silver variant of the beetleboy, notable for having an excellent level of resistances to nearly all elements and status ailments not entirely dissimilar to the Metal Slime.

Characteristics

Iron rhinos are anthropomorphic beetle warriors, armored in a sturdy silver carapace like a knight in shining armor. Their tough shells grant them high resistance to many forms of attack and negative status ailments. They have traded in their family members' ability to knock enemies down with their horns to perform an all-or-nothing tackles instead. Despite the protection of their armored carapaces, the iron rhinos are still hampered by their low HP, falling quickly to concentrated attacks.
