The velvet cape is a recurring piece of clothing in the Dragon Quest series.

The velvet cape has a defence bonus of +60. Only Angelo can wear it, as well as Morrie in the 3DS remake. It can be purchased from Orkutsk for 9,400 gold and sold for 4,700 gold.
