The Sword of Gaia (Gaia Sword) is a key item in Dragon Quest III.
Location
It is found near the corpse of Simon within the Shrine Jail.
Another Sword of Gaia can be found the in Zenith Dungeon in the Super Famicom and Game Boy Color Version.
Details
By throwing the sword into the volcano west of Baharata, it will open the path to the Gondo Cave. The sword can also be equipped as a normal weapon before being thrown in the volcano.
It can be wielded by both The Hero & Warriors, and has the attack bonus of +51 (+48 in the NES Version).
