Bamboo pole
The bamboo pole is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series that appeared in the original Dragon Quest. This simple weapon is the weakest weapon in the game.

CharacteristicsEdit
The pole is a simple weapon that consists of little more than a length of bamboo with one end chopped and sharpened to a point. In some illustrations, it has a rudimentary grip made of cloth near the base. The bamboo pole's position as the weakest weapon in the game would be taken over in subsequent games by the cypress stick.

Dragon QuestEdit
Due to text restrictions in the Game Boy Color remake of Dragon Quest, the bamboo pole was renamed to Bamboo with a picture of a pole beside it. Additionally, the Hero starts his quest with it in the Cell phone and Switch versions of the game, although it is not equipped.

After a long hiatus, the bamboo pole made a reappearance in this game as a B-rank weapon with an Attack bonus of +3 and a Wisdom bonus of +2. It can be received during the game's limited Dragon Quest I event.
