The Spirit is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest II. They are restless shades of the dead that wander the earth.

Characteristics

Spirits tend to envelope themselves in long blue cloaks with the bat insignia of Hargon over their foreheads. They usually raise their hands as if casting a spell, and are occasionally portrayed as holding a scythe.
