Aooo! is a skill that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII. It is Ruff's own version of the War Cry skill, calling upon a group of wolves to frighten a group of enemies with their howls.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
Aooo! is learned by Ruff when he reaches level 2. Its range is slightly weaker than War Cry as it only has a chance to stun a group of enemies for a single turn. It can be helpful when Ruff first joins the party as he still needs to gain levels for his attacks to get up to speed with the rest of the party.
- Although Aooo!'s success rate decreased in the Nintendo 3DS remake, a plus side is that the skill will prevent enemies that act twice per turn from taking both of their actions if the effect occurs.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit]
Aooo! is learned by Ruff at rank 4 of his Wolf Boy vocation and is already known when he joins the party. It costs just 1 MP and targets one group of monsters, with a base 60% success rate per monster before resistances to being stunned are applied.
