The Aged Priest of Beran will give the talisman to the Scions of Erdrick after they inform the King and Queen of Cannock that their son has been stricken with a fatal curse after defending Beran from the Children of Hargon cult. When the Scions return from Castle Cannock to Beran they find the Princess of Cannock has cornered the Aged Priest and is pressing him for information on how to save her brother. The old man informs group of the location of the World Tree after swearing them to secrecy, and explains that Her legendary leaves may be able to cure the Prince, and states he regrets not telling them sooner after they have saved Beran. The Princess ditches her two cousins upon hearing this and heads off to the island alone, with the Priest giving the remaining Scions the talisman to dispel the fog protecting Yggdrasil.
