List of axe skills in Dragon Quest IX

The following are Axe skills in Dragon Quest IX. Axe skills can be learned via Gladiator and Ranger classes.

Poplar Toppler

An attack that deals heavy damage to plants.

Parallax

An attack that has a chance to paralyze the enemy. It costs 2 MP to use.

Helm Splitter

An attack that may decrease the enemy's defence.

Hatchet Man

Tries to deal a critical hit on the opponent, or fails. Very popular against metal king slimes. Costs 8 MP to use.

Axes of Evil

Damages a group of enemies.

Whopper Chop

Lunges at enemy, which has a 50% chance of inflicting a critical hit. Requires the 'Advanced Axecraft' in a character's inventory to use.

Omnivocational Axemaster

Enables the character to use axes with any vocation.
