List of shield skills in Dragon Quest IX

The following are shield skills in Dragon Quest IX. Staff skills are available to the Minstrel, Warrior, Priest, Mage, Armamentalist, Paladin, Sage and Luminary classes.
Blockenspiel
Costs: 4 MP
A weaker attack but, you are in a defend stance while and after attacking.
Defending Champion
Costs: 3 MP
Greatly reduces the damage inflicted by physical attacks.
Immense Defence
Costs: 4 MP
A defensive stance that boosts shield effectiveness a lot. (Chance of blocking increases a lot.)
Magic Mirror
Cost: 4 MP Reflects enemy spells for several turns.
Holy Impregnable
Back Atcha
Omnivocational Shieldmaster
Allows you to use a shield with any vocation with that character.
